The Singing Cowboy- has always been a favorite of mine.Through out the movie, Gene Autry simply shines. Smiley Burnette actually caught my interest too.
I think Gene Autry and Smiley Burnette worked wonderful in The Singing Cowboy. The great supporting cast includes Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Lois Wilde, Lon Chaney Jr., Ann Gillis.

When Gene Autry's boss is murdered, Gene becomes the guardian of his little girl. The child is seriously injured in a stable fire and needs a life-saving brain operation!
